Job Overview:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be acting as an infrastructure and operations engineer to ensure high performance and high availability of Dropee services and web properties. This role possesses a mix of development, networking, security, and system administration skills, as this role is required to provide developer support, application systems administration, production support, and many other tasks. The Senior DevOps Engineer will work closely with the Development team in bringing new software releases to production effectively. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop, deploy and manage a highly-scalable and high-availability platforms monitoring and maintaining service performance and availability metrics
• Automate everything from deployment to monitoring and management to incident response - treat 'Everything as Code'
• Take ownership of our configuration management platforms
• Collaborate with developers to bring new features and services into production
• Assist in identifying and mitigating security threats to comply with a strict security compliance
• Innovation in all areas - people, process, technology
• Monitor application services and systems and investigate anomalies
• Ensure all product testing and deployment is streamlined and automated
• Ensure all systems and networks are securely configured and up-to-date
• Analyse system performance, detect bottlenecks, propose solutions (or workarounds)
• Maintaining the production infrastructure in order to maintain 99% uptime and the ability to handle anticipated load patterns
• Strategise and set up for Disaster Recovery, and Data Analytics framework

Qualifications:

• Expert with the Linux command line, Git and Shell scripting
• Previous development experience a plus; should be willing and able to pick up Laravel and other Dropee’s tech stacks
• Experience with high-availability on-premise server purchasing, configuration, maintenance
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently on large, complex projects with minimal guidance
